Compared with cast abrasives, steel cut wire shot provides more uniform size control and stable peening performance. It is especially suitable for applications requiring consistent coverage, repeatable impact energy and controlled surface treatment results.
Steel cut wire shot is produced by selecting high-quality steel wire, drawing it to the required diameter, cutting it into uniform lengths, and screening the particles to remove undersized or oversized material.
According to application requirements, the product can be supplied as-as cut or further conditioned into a more rounded shape. Each batch can be inspected for size, hardness, density and surface condition to ensure stable performance in shot peening and blasting operations.
Steel cut wire shot offers highly consistent particle size, stable impact energy and excellent process control. The uniform cylindrical shape helps achieve repeatable peening intensity and reliable strengthening performance.
It has good durability, low dust generation and stable service life. For customers requiring precision shot peening, fatigue resistance improvement or controlled surface treatment, steel cut wire shot is a reliable and efficient abrasive choice.
Steel cut wire shot is used for shot peening, spring strengthening, gear treatment, automotive parts processing, aerospace components, precision machinery parts, die-casting parts and deburring applications.
It is suitable for production environments where stable peening intensity, uniform coverage and low process variation are important.

2.0mm Steel Cut Wire is mainly used for heavy-duty shot blasting and strong surface preparation. It is suitable for large castings, heavy steel parts, thick plates, steel structures and workpieces with severe rust, thick scale or heavy surface contamination.
2.0mm Steel Cut Wire is recommended when the workpiece is large, thick or requires powerful cleaning. It provides very strong impact force and high cleaning efficiency, but it is not usually recommended for thin or delicate parts because the impact may be too strong.
