Product Introduction

High-reliability steel shot developed for demanding shot peening applications and precision manufacturing.

S230 / S280 / S330 ST Series Steel Shot are medium-size secondary quenched steel shot abrasives designed for general shot blasting, casting cleaning and metal surface preparation. Compared with ordinary steel shot, the ST Series double quenching process improves particle toughness, hardness stability and wear resistance, helping reduce abrasive breakage, dust generation and media consumption during continuous blasting. These sizes provide a good balance between cleaning efficiency and surface quality, making them suitable for medium castings, forgings, automotive parts, machinery components, steel parts, desanding, rust removal, light descaling and surface preparation before painting or coating.

Manufacturing Process

ST Series Steel Shot is manufactured through raw material inspection, medium-frequency melting, chemical composition testing, centrifugal atomizing, drying, sizing, cleaning, shape selection, secondary quenching, tempering, fine screening and packaging.

The core advantage of ST Series Steel Shot comes from its secondary quenching process. After the steel shot is formed and preliminarily screened, it undergoes an additional quenching treatment to improve internal structure stability, hardness uniformity, toughness and impact resistance. This process helps reduce breakage and dust generation during repeated blasting cycles.

After secondary quenching, the steel shot is tempered to reduce internal stress and enhance durability. Through strict screening and quality inspection, ST Series Steel Shot delivers stable blasting performance, longer service life and consistent surface treatment quality for high-end shot blasting applications.

Advantages

1. Balanced Cleaning Efficiency and Surface Quality

S230, S280 and S330 ST Series Steel Shot provide a strong balance between cleaning power and surface finish. These medium-size secondary quenched steel shot grades are suitable for general shot blasting, casting cleaning and metal surface preparation where both efficiency and surface consistency are required.

2. Improved Toughness for Lower Abrasive Consumption

Through the secondary quenching process, ST Series Steel Shot achieves better toughness and impact resistance than ordinary steel shot. This helps reduce premature breakage, lower abrasive consumption and support more stable blasting costs.

3. Less Dust and Better Machine Stability

Lower breakage means less dust, fewer broken particles and a cleaner abrasive operating mix. This helps reduce wear on blasting equipment, improve separator efficiency and maintain stable cleaning performance in automatic shot blasting machines.

4. Reliable Performance for Standard Industrial Blasting

S230, S280 and S330 ST Series Steel Shot are suitable for medium castings, forgings, automotive parts, machinery components and steel workpieces. They help remove sand residues, rust, light scale and surface impurities while maintaining controlled surface roughness before coating or painting.
