Large-Size Steel Shot for Heavy-Duty Shot Blasting

S460 and S550 steel shot are large-size steel shot abrasives designed for heavy-duty shot blasting, strong surface cleaning and efficient surface preparation. Compared with smaller steel shot sizes, these grades provide higher impact force and stronger cleaning power. They are suitable for large castings, steel structures, heavy forgings, thick steel plates and metal workpieces with heavy sand, rust, scale or surface contamination.

Manufacturing Process

Our steel shot is produced through melting, atomization, screening, heat treatment and quality inspection. The molten steel is atomized into spherical particles, then processed through controlled quenching and tempering to obtain suitable hardness, toughness and microstructure.

After heat treatment, the steel shot is screened into different sizes and tested for chemical composition, hardness, density, particle size distribution and internal defects. This process ensures consistent blasting performance and reliable batch quality for continuous production lines.
